• Dr. Vicky Day , Head of the Ocular Oncology Unit at Sheba Medical Center received support for the annual spring meeting of Ocular Oncology in October 2022. • Dr. Nir Hirschhorn , Chair of the Israel Society of Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology received support for a lecture by Dr. Luc Morris at the annual Israel Society of Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology conference in November 2022. Short-Term Training Abroad • Dr. Marwa Taia , Sourasky Medical Center, for attending the American Association for Cancer research (AACR) conference in New Orleans, US, in April 2022. • Dr. Miki Haifler , The Urology Department, Sheba Medical Center, for attending the GU ASCO conference in San Francisco, U.S. in February 2020. • Dori Binyamin , physicist in the Radiotherapy Unit, Sheba Medical Center, for attending a workshop on MRI-led radiotherapy treatments, Amsterdam, the Netherlands in September 2022. • Stanislav Raskin , medical physicist in the Radiotherapy Unit, Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, for attending the 2022 EANM conference in Barcelona, Spain in October 2022. Summer Grants The Israel Cancer Association continues its summer grant program for medical students at oncology institutes. This year’s recipients were: • Tom Lapidus , Pediatric Hemao-oncology, Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center. • Mualem Yara , Oncology Unit, Sieff Medical Center, Zefat.

The Israel Cancer Association participated in funding travel fellowships to physicians, researchers and healthcare professionals in the field of oncology who chose to present their work in international conferences. Supporting Conferences and Guest Lecturers from Abroad • Dr. Shifra Ash , Head of the Pediatric Hemato-oncology at Rambam Medical Campus, received support for inviting guest lecturers Prof. Antony Chen and Dr. Kenneth McClain for the 32nd Annual Israeli Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (ISPHO) in March 2022. • Dr. Shifra Ash , Head of the Pediatric Hemato-oncology at Rambam Medical Campus, received support for inviting guest lecturer Dr. Monika Metzger for the annual Pediatric Hematology conference at the Ruth Rappaport Pediatric Hospital, in April 2022. • Dr. Michael Turjeman received support for holding the 18th Annual Conference for Cancer Morbidity and Mortality Prevention (named after Dr. Erika Harel OBM), Clalit Health Services Central District in May 2022. • Prof. Cyrille Cohen , president of the Israeli Society for Cancer Research (ISCR), received support to fund a lecture by Prof. George Coukos , Prof. Janine Erler at ISCR’s annual conference in May 2022. • Prof. Eran Sadot and Prof. Adila Muhammed received support for the bi-annual Israeli Society for Surgical Oncology conference in May 2022. Guest lecturer: Prof. Angelica Michael D . • Prof. Jamal Zidan received support for Sieff Medical Center oncology array conference on Molecular Targeting Therapy and Immunotherapy of Cancer in July 2022. Guest lecturer: Joseph David Rosenblatt .
