Our mission is to advance the smart mobility sector through tech and innovation by supporting startups to scale and addressing the challenges of the global mobility ecosystem. Founded in 2012, EcoMotion is a joint venture of the Israel Innovation Institute (NGO) together with Israel’s Ministry of Transport and Road Safety and the Ministry of Economy and Indust. EcoMotion Activities EcoMotion creates a platform for startups to connect with other community members including global industry, entrepreneurs, government, investors, academy and more in the field of smart mobility, in order to collaborate, network & explore synergies. EcoMotion fosters this platform through a) ecosystem development by engaging diverse stakeholders b) implementation activities which generate opportunities for startups to address industry needs and c) through producing resources for knowledge sharing and education on key trends. EcoMotion Assembly 2024 – Mobility Innovation in Times of Disruption Since 2012, EcoMotion Community has been hosting an annual gathering – growing from a gathering in a parking lot, to an over 4,000 persons international gathering at EcoMotion Week in 2023. The EcoMotion event has become one of the most exciting global events dedicated to smart mobility. This year, we proudly continue the momentum with our 12 th annual main event, EcoMotion Assembly. This year’s Assembly theme is Mobility Innovation in Times of Disruption. We mark the double meaning of disruption as both a radical change to an existing industry due to technological innovation and also a disturbance to an activity or process. We are living through a time of disruption in both meanings of the word. Together, we are embracing the unknown and navigating market shifts while simultaneously harnessing the potential of mobility innovation amidst turbulence and change. Times of disruption present both an opportunity and an invitation to do things differently. This year is about mobilizing the ecosystem and forging ahead in new ways. At the heart of this ecosystem are the visionary innovators—the startups—with the fortitude and persistence to create and develop solutions. Mobility startups today are imagining a new, safer, more advanced, more efficient, more user friendly, more climate-friendly future for the mobility sector. As this community moves forward, we remain guided by the words of Steve Jobs, who said, “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently.” May these words inspire us all to continue building, continue creating solutions and forging collaborative synergies which advance the smart mobility sector for all.
