The drone rapidly rotates around itself, turning into its own huge rotor, enabling hovering. After takeoff, The VTOL makes a simple transition to a cruise mode, in which it flies like a regular airplane. A POC model was build, and showed dramatic performances improvement over present VTOL UAVs. We cut 5-20 minutes/flight. With the average aircraft carrying over 150 passengers and flying 1700 flights/year this unlocks significant value. Oh! and we cut fuel and emissions as well!
