Michigan’sOfficeof FutureMobilityandElectrification(OFME) iscontinuing the state’s leadership in this space by fully leveraging the state’s public, private and non-profit sectors to support the startup and scale up of emerging technologies and businesses. This effort builds on nearly five years of concentrated investment in mobility and electrification – and Michigan is just getting started. As the birthplace of the automobile, Michigan has built a reputable model of leveraging public-private partnerships across city and state government, technology companies, automakers andacademia todrive innovation, increase investment, regulate policy and deliver the smart infrastructure that’s needed to move the world forward. OFME – a collaboration across four state agencies – works as a coordinator and integrator across these sectors to create a stronger state economy in Michigan, and to enable safer, more equitable and environmentally conscious transportation for all Michigan residents by acceleratingelectric vehicle adoption inMichigan, expandingMichigan’s smart infrastructure, bolstering the state’smobilitymanufacturing core, and more. Further, the OFME provides many services to companies, some of which include: Grant funding | Connection opportunities Policy support | Industry intelligence. The state’s Council on Future Mobility and Electrification (CFME) complements these efforts through four work groups focused on key initiatives including: Electrification | Automated vehicle technologies and smart infrastructure | Insurance, regulatory systems and public safety | Economic and workforce development. In addition toOFME and CFME, Michigan continues leading theway in future mobility solutions with progress from both private and public sector partners. As part of this ecosystem, Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA) is charged with advancing Michigan’s innovation environment through partnershipswith Israeli mobility and technology businesses. MIBA offers a range of services, including: Import and export services | Customized market research | Trade delegations to and from Israel | Consulting services and ecosystemnavigation support.
