which the patients are hospitalized, via hospital staff members (social worker, nurse, physician and radiation technician) or independently. Thank you letter: Dear Clore Hostel Staff, I wish to extend my appreciation/gratitude/ admiration and more... for the blessed work you do here. Words cannot describe the attention to detail, what I wanted, liked and what not. The questions that came in the right time and the attentive ear. Nothing is taken for granted and I appreciate and cherish all that you have done for me. You did above and beyond. So thank you from the bottom of my heart and may god give you only health, satisfaction, joy and happiness. The unique spirit of the hostel Individuals coping with a life-threatening disease stay the hostel during their oncology treatments. Staying at the hostel entails leaving home and moving away from the family. The Clore Hostel is unique compared to other patients' facilities, since it caters to a wide, dynamic set of needs during this vulnerable period in a patient's life, in a warm, supportive environment that includes both the nursing aspect and some of the psychosocial aspects that encumber the patients. (The names are kept anonymous with the ICA)
Moreover, family members can also enjoy a relief from the burden of daily intensive caring and free up time for work or ongoing tasks in their own life. The hostel, via its nursing staff, serves as a professional link between the patient and the medical center in which he or she receives the treatment, both in terms of abnormal reactions and medical referral, and in mediating problems or requests for those who find it hard to express themselves, whether due to a language barrier or for other reasons. Our many years of experience have taught us that most of the patients who stayed at the hostel arrived with great concern for the future, and found a warm, embracing framework that promotes relaxation and healing.
