The Clore Hostel is unique compared to other patients' facilities, since it caters to a wide, dynamic set of needs during this vulnerable period in a patient's life, in a warm, supportive environment that includes both the nursing aspect and some of the psychosocial aspects that encumber the patients. Moreover, family members can also enjoy a relief from the burden of daily intensive caring and free up time for work or ongoing tasks in their own life. The hostel, via its nursing staff, serves as a professional link between the patient and the medical center in which he or she receives the treatment, both in terms of abnormal reactions and medical referral, and in mediating problems or requests for those who find it hard to express themselves, whether due to a language barrier or for other reasons. Our many years of experience have taught us that most of the patients who stayed at the hostel arrived with great concern for the future, and found a warm, embracing framework that promotes relaxation and healing.
