MY SPECIAL LIGHT

This is the only place anyone ever believed in me! As someone who suffers from ADHD and is diagnosed on the autistic spectrum, I have been at the receiving end of unpleasant, sometimes even humiliating, treatment over the years. Background "My Special Light" project was launched in 2017 in order to provide the Yeshiva's professional, warm, and embracing shell to boys on the autistic spectrum. For the first time in their lives, these boys are accompanied by a team of rabbis and a group of skilled students who see the good and the precious treasure embodied in them, employing an equal, inclusive attitude with a warm hug and day-to day mentorship. These young men study in the yeshiva like all students, volunteer for significant service in the army, and acquire significant tools for entering family life in the best possible way.

Purpose Empowering the project in the following aspects: A fixed target of 8 young men per year. A professional program coordinator who has undergone appropriate training for such mentorship. Individual treatments for each and every young man. An accompanying social worker/ psychologist. Workshops and personal training for all the guys in the program. Personal coaching for the teaching staff. Your partnership brings great light to their lives and helps build dozens of good Jewish families using the best tools for success!
