Each of the doctoral students presented his/her work, which was then followed by a discussion. The workshop participants discussed a variety of issues, both theoretical andmethodological. Theywere also exposed to themany different programs sponsored by the institute. The experts from abroad reviewed their research work, and a general GLVFXVVLRQ IROORZHG WKDW IRFXVHG RQ LVVXHV UHODWHG WR SXEOLFDWLRQ RI UHVHDUFK ƉQGLQJV LQ OHDGLQJ SURIHVVLRQDO MRXUQDOV 7KH SDUWLFLSDQWV DOVR WRXUHG -HUXVDOHP DQG YLVLWHG the Yad Vashem Museum. The professional and social ties that were formed during the workshop serve as a basis for a wide network of young researchers throughout the world who promote the vision of the Haruv Institute, as being the leading world center for the research of the phenomenon of maltreated children. Participants: 22 doctoral students from eight countries Sessions: $ WKUHH GD\ ZRUNVKRS Budget: NIS 120,000 The doctoral students’ presentations can be found on the internet website of the Haruv Institute, under “International Workshop for Doctoral Students” The Tony Eliashar SHEKEL Therapeutic Center provides therapeutic care for children, adolescents and adults with disabilities. The Center runs a cognitive-behavioral intervention program (CBT) that is trauma-focused, for people with disabilities who were victims of sexual abuse. The program is accompanied by a research program of the Haruv Institute, together with Dr. Dafna Tener from the School of Social Work of the Hebrew University, and with SHEKEL.
