TRAUMA-INFORMED INTERVENTION PROGRAMS
PROGRAMS RELATING TO TRAUMA TREATMENT FOR THE SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENTS Therapeutic Intervention with Children and Families in a State of Trauma and Crisis September 2017 – January 2018 In collaboration with: Welfare Department, Haifa Municipality Goal: To provide therapists with evaluation and processing tools when encountering families and children who experienced traumatic events. Special emphasis was placed on “talking about the trauma” with children, with their parents, and together. Target Population: Social workers in the Welfare Department of the Haifa Municipality and social workers in the Parent-Child Centers.

Training Social Workers in the Local Councils – Hof HaCarmel Regional Council October – December 2018 In collaboration with: Hof HaCarmel Regional Council
Goal: To focus on the central issues when working with families in high conflict divorce disputes; specifically, parental alienation, refusal to uphold visitation rights,, therapeutic interventions with children living in families with such the disputes, and parents’ splitting mechanisms during severe disputes. Target Population: The staff of the social services department, Juvenile Law social workers, legal aid social workers and workers of the Council’s Family Division.
