Simulations for Schools in Tulsa July – August 2019

In 2019 three training programs were held at Tulsa schools in collaboration with the city's educational system. Partners: Tulsa Educational System Goal: At Union Public School, the goal was to impart knowledge through active experience of the lives of those who suffer from poverty, and implications for families and children. In the Jenks Public Schools, the goal was to raise awareness to violence among adolescent couples, a growing phenomenon in the US and in Oklahoma in particular. Target Population: Union Public High School staff, Jenks Public Schools teachers, sophomores and their parents

Number of Sessions: Total of 3: 2 at Union Public School and 1 at Jenks Public School

Number of Participants: 45

Location: OU – Founders Hall

Budget: USD 2,250

Poverty Simulation for Tulsa Public High-School August 1, 2019

Goal: Impart knowledge through active experience in the life of the poverty stricken, and the implications of poverty on families and children. Target Population: CAP staff

Number of Sessions: 1

Number of Participants: 45
