THE HARUV CHILDREN'S CAMPUS

The Haruv Children's Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic established in 2019 with the objective of providing treatment and creating a multi-disciplinary work model for maltreated children; as well as creating sub-specializations in the various disciplines. Today, clinic staff includes a psychiatrist, neurologist, occupational therapists, speech therapist and office manager. The clinic treated children referred by on-campus organizations, as well as children externally referred, with emphasis placed on maintaining contact with the referring bodies and psycho- social staff. Clinic Work included: • Building an administrative network • Multi-disciplinary staff meetings to discuss treatment, with participation of all involved organizations.

Occupational Therapy Direct individual treatment was administered to 20 children, and group care to 45 children. Consultation and training were provided to on-campus staff, and efforts were invested in assimilating routines and implementing methods in different frameworks. Focus groups examined protocol for occupational therapy intervention which was developed in the clinic, and clinic staff began application. Five occupational therapy students were integrated into the clinic activities as part of their practical training. Language and Communication During the year's last quarter, with a speech therapist joining the clinic staff, an intervention model began to take shape in the field of language and communication. Four children began direct individual treatment, and additional children as well as group treatment are also expected to begin.
