Coping with Sexual Abuse at the Youth Development Unit: National Advanced Studies February – July 2020

Objective: In Jerusalem studies focused on exploring the phenomenon, abused and abusive youth, the enabling dynamic and implications manifest in youth behavior within the unit. Also discussed were appropriate educational-therapeutic response to such behavior, response in cases of exposed abuse, and skills for focused therapeutic intervention upon exposure. In Tel Aviv training addressed awareness and understanding implications of the phenomenon manifest in youth behavior in the unit, identifying sexual abuse, skills for constructive initial intervention in cases of exposed abuse, and strengthening perception of professional competence and ability to help. Target audience: Educational and therapeutic staff at youth development units in Jerusalem and TLV

TRAINING THE “AMIT” NETWORK Fourth year of AMIT – Haruv collaboration

The Significance of Educational-Therapeutic Work with Children and Youth who Experience Trauma: Advanced Studies January – May 2020 Partners: AMIT Petah Tikvah and Ramla Objective: Teaching staff the professional perspective relating to children’s traumatic background, understanding the mental and emotional implications, including behavior and functioning in their educational frameworks. Also, customizing studies, therapy and school facilities to specific needs. An additional advanced study program was held online for AMIT educators on the same topics. Target audience: Psyco-social and educational staff at AMIT youth village in Petah Tikvah, teachers, counselors and management at AMIT Ramla religious technological school
