MEHALEV: THE CHILD MALTREATMENT PREVENTION INITIATIVE

Annual

Objective: To become the spearhead in initiating and realizing ideas for innovative initiatives in the field of child maltreatment. The hub mission is encouraging such initiatives, supporting and accompanying their process. This work model is borrowed from technology and hi tech, promoting initiatory and creative thinking in finding solutions to various problems. Recent years have witnessed increased business investment in programs and initiatives targeting social issues, and even significant success in social initiative hubs. One in Five is unique in being the only project focused on promoting initiatives in the field of child maltreatment, particularly on prevention. Target audience: Initiators from all professions with an idea for a project initiative to prevent child maltreatment. In November 2020 the third hub acceleration program opened, expected to close in June 2021. The hub administration simultaneously continued to supervise first and second program graduate initiatives, assisting in advancement and supporting funding for pilot programs in the field.

Number of sessions: 14 bi-weekly group sessions (held online subject to coronavirus restrictions), individual meetings as necessary.

Number of Participants in 3 rd cohort: 14, representing 11 initiatives
