Training Program for Oklahoma Advocacy Centers May, July, December 2021 Partner: CACO

Objective: working with trauma during Covid-19 exposes professionals to a traumatic reality of unique characteristics. This is a familiar issue in war zones and hostile environments, but not in Oklahoma.

In 2021 three programs were held:

Traumatic Reality and Multi-Dimensional Training (MDT): introduction to work in shared trauma reality, processing and legitimizing participant experiences in the Covid-19 context. Additionally, a session of MDT moderation skills was held.

CE-CERT Clinical Experience Impact and Trauma Reduction: training on work in a shared trauma reality, processing and legitimizing participant experience in Covid-19 context. This training included a lecture in July and an additional session in October to train CACO staff on secondary trauma.
