Certification of Legal Guardians January - September 2021 Total of four programs, two for civil law lawyers for minors and two for certification of lawyers as legal guardians

Partner: Legal Aid Department, Ministry of Justice

Objective: two programs taught legal and therapeutic theory in aspects of legal representation of at-risk children and youth, and familiarity with characteristics of maltreated children and available legal responses and resources. The two certification programs for legal guardianship were designed to create a unique field of expertise in child representation that understands maltreated and at-risk children. Additionally, two reflection sessions were held on secondary trauma in legal guardians.

Target audience: lawyers representing minors and other lawyers

Sessions: 14 in each program, 2 reflection

Participants: 160: 150 and 10 in the reflection group

Venue: Haruv Children’s Campus and online

Budget: 364,000 ILS

Jurist Training Model April - June 2021 Partner: Aid Department, Ministry of Justice

Objective: building a training model adapted to lawyers who represent minors in various procedures, and implementing supervision in the legal field.

Target audience: lawyers representing minors

Sessions: 20

Participants: 20

Venue: Haruv Children’s Campus

Budget: 22,000 ILS
