HARUV CHILDREN’S CAMPUS

Haruv Children’s Campus Yearlong Haruv Children’s Campus is a multidisciplinary clinic serving maltreated children and their families.

Clinic staff includes a psychiatrist, neurologist, occupational therapists and speech therapists.

Clinic objectives: providing therapeutic response to maltreated children and their families, creating a model for multidisciplinary work with children, establishing sub-specialties in various fields in the clinic and knowledge dissemination.

The clinic operates on several levels:

• Developing a work model: as part of developing the “clinic work model” , joint evaluations have begun, that include an evaluation session with the child where he is examined by the relevant professionals, and a joint discussion is then held with the entire clinic staff. • Maintaining therapeutic continuity: the clinic staff went to great lengths to maintain continuity and provision of services to the children and their families despite the Covid-19 pandemic. • Integrating medical students: this year six students of occupational therapy and three students of speech therapy were integrated into the clinic work as part of their practical training. • Integrating clinic content in Haruv Institute programs: clinic staff continues to integrate into training programs for educational and healthcare professionals, and the first program for a unique speech therapists’ training was held.

Sessions: individual and group therapy, consultations and multidisciplinary preparation for approximately 100 children.
