INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY

Delegation to Dubai

In November an official Haruv Institute delegation travelled to Dubai, recognized by the Israel Foreign Affairs Ministry. The delegation was hosted by the Dubai Police. The purpose of this visit was initiating a discussion regarding child advocacy in the two countries, and establishing a basis for joint collaboration ideas. This visit addressed the way in which Haruv Institute might assist the Dubai Police in training professionals for child interrogation. Representatives of both countries delivered lectures and workshops were held to consider future cooperation.

International Magazine

The International Journal on Child Maltreatment: Research, Policy and Practice is an international publication born of a successful partnership between the Kempe Center and Haruv Institute. Its purpose is to promote publication and distribution of theoretical end empirical knowledge internationally in the field of maltreated children. Alongside routine magazine operation, Haruv Institute, Haruv-USA and the Kempe Center hold joint meetings; a prominent essay from the magazine is presented at each meeting.

Kempe-Haruv Club Yearlong

Haruv Institute and Kempe Center collaborative magazine, The International Journal of Child Maltreatment, initiated the Kempe-Haruv Club which hosts leading and prominent researchers in the field of child maltreatment, and provides a platform for the newest, most innovative knowledge in the field. In 2021 two club meetings were held, attended by professionals from Israel and the USA. The first was held in June with Prof. Beth Mulner, the second was held in October with Prof. Kathryn Maguire-Jack. Details on Haruv-USA activity page.
