Child Sex Trafficking January 2021 Partners: YST )Youth services of Tulsa(
Objective: gaining a better knowledge of child and youth sex trafficking, emphasis on communicating with children and youth, including LGBTQ youth, in this context. The staff experienced difficulty and fear of communication with youth survivors of human sex trafficking, therefore a safe space in which to practice was provided, to gain experience and practice skills learned via simulations.
Target audience: YST staff, Trafficking team
Sessions: 3 seminar days as part of an extensive three-year training

OCADVSA Staff Training January 2021 Partner: OCADVSA – Oklahoma Coalition against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Objective: understanding the implication of partner violence on children in the house, for DMV centers and shelter staff. In addition, learning theory and skills for creating a therapeutic environment in DMV shelters where children reside. In 2021 three sessions were held on creating a therapeutic environment at DMVs, and three sessions on virtual relationships connections taught skills for managing therapeutic relationships by virtual means, due to Covid-19.
