In the middle of the night

there is a knock on the door. A stranger arrives at the horse of Alexander the Great as well as a lawyer and requests a room. After having doubts, the inn keeper agrees and the rumor of the stranger's arrival quickly spreads among the inhabitants of the inn. The historian Pelles Green who is residing at the inn, finds the meeting with the stranger, an inspiring opportunity as well as Beatrice who's imagination is stimulated by the arrival of the down the hall. The officer Even Shore, on the other hand, who has been courting Beatrice vigorously, is disturbed by the dangerous consequences of the stranger's arrival. Bucephalus takes it upon himself to defend the human law and judicial systems all this while receiving resistance and suspicion due to his identity as a horse . A sudden war that erupts "shuffles all the cards" and forces Bucephalus to choose between the law and justice with a string of decisions which will seal his fate. This is a play about the drama between the human and the savage, between personal gain and the law and between the individual and the society – this is a play about man in war.
