The Haruv Children's Campus - קמפוס חרוב לילדים

Medical Simulation (MSR), the Goshen initiative for promoting child health and wellbeing, and Latet-Pe – Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Programs. The collaborative initiatives taken on-campus promote the mutual growth and professional advancement of the various treatment facilities. Improving access to services, they provide child victims with professional, comprehensive, and innovative care that fulfills all their needs. Collaboration between clinical and therapeutic services, community advocacy services, and the professional research and training corps – comprising family doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, legal professionals, social workers, occupational therapists, and speech therapists – augments the contribution of each partner, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts. The holistic approach, combined with special treatment methods, has in fact created a new profession providing multi-disciplinary care to maltreated children. Much thought was put into the campus’s design, taking into consideration the needs of the children and their families. Soothing elements, such as flowing water, gardens, play areas constructed of natural materials, and seating areas in warm and pleasant colors dot the campus grounds. The interior spaces include colorful playrooms, quiet and private workstations, and a school and kindergarten for the children staying at the emergency center. The campus is at the forefront of groundbreaking initiatives, offering an opportunity for true change in research, prevention, treatment, training, and service provision for children at risk. As an innovative model, it hosts leading scholars, professionals, and students from a range of disciplines. Its contribution towards generating knowledge to improve the services offered to child victims of abuse and neglect will enable the formation of a progressive training network for professionals working with these children.
