Israel Railways is Israel’s transportation locomotive, withover 70million journeys a year, and is expected to transport about 100millionpassengers each year in the near future. Every day, the company operates more than 550 passenger trains and 45 cargo trains, which pass through 69 stations along 1,600 km of track. The track’s route contains 24 tunnels about 60kmlong, 245 railway andpedestrianbridges andabout 60 Level separations. Freight trains carry about 7million tons of cargodaily.
