Professional Training

The Israel Cancer Association participated in funding travel fellowships to physicians, researchers and healthcare professionals in the field of oncology who chose to present their work in international conferences.

Dr. Dikla Kruger , Clalit Health Services, received a two year fellowship in integrative medicine with emphasis on integrative oncology, held in Australia, 1.6.24 – 1.8.26. Dr. Jonathan Arnon , Hadassah Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship in treatment of TCR cells in solid tumors, held in Germany, 1.8.24 – 1.8.26. Dr. Ran Lin , Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, received a one-year advanced fellowship in Orthopedic oncology, held in Canada,1.1.25 - 31.21.25. Dr. Aviad Katz , Rabin Medical Center, received a two year fellowship in reconstructive surgical oncology and micro-surgery, held in Canada, 1.7.24 – 30.6.25. Short-Term Training Abroad Mr. Amiram Azarzar , Radiotherapy Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, for traveling to Romania to attend a course on dynamic treatments: IMRT and VMAT: Best Practices and New Trends. Dr. Shira Gabizon , Davidoff Cancer Center, Rabin Medical Center, for traveling to Spain to attend an EORTC NCI AACR (ENA) SYMPOSIUM on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics. Dr. Oded Gilad , Hemato-Oncology Array, Schneider Pediatric Medical Center, for traveling to Spain to the U.S for a training on complex vascular and lymphatic tumors. Summer Grants The Israel Cancer Association continues its summer grant program for medical students at oncology institutes. This year’s recipients were: Ruba Gavish , Oncology Unit, Rambam Medical Campus. Nir Dubov , Oncology Outpatient Unit, Shaare Tzedek Medical Center.

Dr. Smadar Bauer , Sheba Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship in Gyno-oncology, held in Canada, 1.9.24 – 31.8.26. Dr. Gilad Feinmesser , Sheba Medical Center, received a one-year fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery, held in Australia, 8.7.24 – 6.7.25. Dr. Yonaton Zarbiv , Hadassah Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship in Urinary tract tumors, held in Toronto, Canada, 1.9.23 – 31.8.25. Dr. Yossi Tzur , Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, received a two-year advanced fellowship in Gyno-oncology, held in Toronto, Canada,1.7.24– 30.6.26. Dr. Netanel Eisenbach , Western Galilee Medical Center, received a two-year advanced fellowship in Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery, held in Canada, 1.7.24 – 30.6.25 Dr. Roseann Margia Awad , Rambam Medical Center, received a one-year fellowship in Colorectal Surgery with emphasis on surgical treatment of hereditary malignant colon diseases, held in Germany, 15.7.24 – 30.7.25. Dr. Yael Berner Wygoda , Hadassah Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship in Breast cancer and multi-disciplinary young adult clinic, held in Canada, 30.11.23 – 30.10.25.
