Patient accompaniment and transportation to hospitals

Branch volunteers accompany patients to treatments at oncological institutes throughout the country, and assist them during treatments. Leisure Activities for Patients in Branches This year, skilled volunteers were recruited to conduct social leisure activities for patients at the branches, such as collage workshops, paper pulp crafts, mandala creation, Arabic language lessons, and more. Additionally, many volunteers visited the branches on a one-time basis to deliver interesting lectures on various subjects. Hospital Volunteer Recruitment The association works to recruit suitable volunteers for the Davidoff Center at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva and for the Oncology Department at Laniado Hospital in Netanya. The volunteers assist the medical staff in the departments, converse with patients, accompany and direct patients to clinics, staff information centers, and more. Donation Boxes ICA volunteers encourage many businesses throughout Israel to set up donation boxes where the business's customers can donate to the association. Association volunteers collect public donations from these boxes. This year too, we continue to recruit volunteers who will be responsible for adding new businesses to the donation circle and managing existing donation boxes. We are in the midst of an extensive digitization process that has already begun operating in several municipalities. The digitization allows business owners to receive ongoing information about the funds collected through direct reporting to their email. At the same time, they are exposed to reports about the association's activities, with the aim of creating a personal connection and willingness to encourage donations. During the year, a pilot was conducted in the city of Givatayim. Prominent QR code stickers were attached to several donation boxes, directing business customers to donate via digital wallet or credit card.

Activities and Fundraising Events Throughout the year, fundraising events for the Israel Cancer Association are held across the country. The events, organized by volunteers, local authorities, organizations, and institutions that support the association's goals, include refreshments, sales booths, exhibitions, musical performances, lectures, stand-up comedy shows, and more. 'Door Knock'® Fundraising Campaign Due to the security situation and Home Front Command directives, it was not possible to conduct external and internal fundraising by youth in the northern region. In other parts of the country, Home Front Command guidelines allowed the operation to take place, although participation was not as complete as we remember from previous years. The branches conducted fundraising through volunteers in organizations and businesses in areas where it was possible ('Adult Knock').
