Events around Jewish Holidays Ahead of the holidays, ICA volunteers visit oncology departments across the country, with the aim of bringing smiles to the faces of hospitalized patients. The holidays and special occasions are marked with festive events at the branches, with patients, survivors, and their family members. Sale and Distribution of Mishlohei Manot (Purim Food Baskets) – this year, volunteers from companies and organizations, schools and IDF assisted in packing the baskets.

Aviv. The public was invited to join the colorful event without prior registration. Instruction was provided on-site by volunteer knitters who teach knitting classes at the ICA, joined by knitters from all over the country. The event raised awareness of the fight against cancer, and a goal was set to knit 3,000 wool hats, which ICA volunteers would distribute to oncology patients in hospitals and to participants of the ICA activities throughout the country. More than 1,000 hats were collected at the event, and many knitters who participated promised to send their products.

'Keeping Cancer Patients Warm' project takes place in medical centers, ICA's 'Strong Together' support centers, the Charles Clore Hostel for Cancer Patients, and in knitting groups at various branches, participated by survivors and volunteers. By the end of the year, over 3,000 items were donated and distributed in oncology departments. Due to the war, volunteers who knit at the branches also enlisted to knit wool hats for soldiers.

Sale and Distribution of Hanukkah packages – this year, the ICA decided to sell Hanukkah packages to companies or schools and kindergartens as a donation for the fight against cancer. Volunteers from ICA branches assisted in selling many packages.
