Welfare

The welfare sector aims to assess the comprehensiveness of welfare and mental health services provided to the LGBTQ+ community within the municipality. This includes various interventions related to direct emotional support and the training of welfare staff. Questions examined in the welfare category 1. Is an active social worker in the municipality's welfare or social services department responsible for LGBTQ+ issues? 2. Have there been training sessions for welfare staff on LGBTQ+ topics in the past year? 3. Are additional dedicated welfare services available for different subgroups of the LGBTQ+ community? (For example, senior citizens, addiction services, couple and family therapy for same-sex families, specialized treatment for trans individuals, support for victims of LGBTQ-phobia, etc.) 4. Does the municipality support and guide parents of LGBTQ+ individuals? (This could include parent groups, dedicated meetings for parents, and individual services specifically tailored for parents of LGBTQ+ individuals.)
