Haruv Institute - Annual Report 2016
group visited a community school, and members of the international panel visited an organization working with immigrants and refugees. In addition, the group attended a luncheon with professionals from the community and from the university and participated in panel discussions at the university. Participants: 10 participants – students, faculty members and professionals in the community. Participants’ Feedback: I wanted to thank you for facilitating these events, and inviting me to this series. Itwasextremely interestingand relevant; IwishmoreDHSprofessionals would have attended to hear some of the important conversations that were happening. I attended Gary Melton’s breakout and it was fascinating — totally reignited my passion for the role of the community in child abuse prevention. I had to run off after the breakout so I couldn’t stay at network, but if there are any future conversations about implementing Strong Communities, I’d love to be a part.
