Participants’ Feedback: ‡ This conference was different in that it placed the very concrete victim on stage, gave him a name and a life narrative, and gave him a voice. This helped the audience identify with the victim, his family and a heartbreaking story, but it was also very inspiring. ‡ The organization and hosting of the conference in the lovely hall were perfect. You created a respectful and very embracing framework for the many people who arrived from near and far, and the thought invested in every detail was obvious – from the largest to the smallest, from the excellent presentation to the coffee and refreshments.

The bussing of students to their school frameworks is an important venue that can be dangerous to children with disablities. Therefore, the Haruv Institute sees the escorting adults who ride with the children and adolescents and HQFRXQWHU WKHP RQ D GDLO\ EDVLV DQ LPSRUWDQW WDUJHW JURXS WKDW FDQ EHQHƉW IURP training in how to maximize their presence during bussing. In order to increase protection of children with disablities and thus reduce violent incidents, it is recommended that local prevention programs be launched that can raise the awareness of the phenomenon of violence towards students with disablities, and increase detection and reporting of maltreatment, as well as provide the appropriate tools for intervention in real time.
