Post-Doctorate Scholarships The recipients of the sixth season of the Post-Doctorate Scholarships program are: Dr. Yifat Mor Salwo (University of Oklahoma, Tulsa, U.S.A.); Dr. Ohad Green (Oxford University, UK); Dr. Uri Blasbalg (University of Cambridge, UK) and Dr. Ateret Gewirtz- Meydan (University of New Hampshire, NY, USA). They were chosen following an rigorous selection process by an academic committee whose members were Asher Ben-Arieh, Prof. Anat Zeira, Prof. Badi hasisi, Prof. Ariel Knafo and Prof. Adina Meir. In December 2017 a study session was held in London with the four scholarship recipients. During this session, the recipients gave lectures on their doctoral topics, heard lectures of the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at Oxford University and had a cultural tour of the city. Delegates from the Haruv Institute who took part in the tour were Prof. Ben-Arieh and Prof. Zeira. In April 2017, the post-doctorate scholarship recipients of the fifth season took part in the Haruv Institute’s conference held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. TheHaruv Institutemaintains constant ties with the program’s graduates in theHaruv Colleagues framework, and supports their research projects in various ways. Post-Doctorate Scholarships SafeCare is an American, evidence-based intervention, developed to prevent the neglect, abuse and violence against children up to the age of five and decrease the occurrence of repetitive neglect in families known to the welfare agencies. This is a structured program, accompanied by a detailed protocol, that consists of 18 weekly sessions in the family’s home. The Haruv Institute is helping implement the program in the Welfare Department of the Ashdod Municipality and is escorting its application with accompanying research. In 2017, gathering data continued on about fifty families that are taking part in the program. Budget: NIS 600,000
