In Partnershipwith: The Council for theWelfare of the Child, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Goal: To impart knowledge in the field of maltreated children, through two sessions. The first dealt with child victims of domestic violence. The second addressed t LGBT adolescents as a population at risk. Target Population: Professionals and policy-makers in the field of child welfare in Israel.

The ESPANET Conference, Israel 2018 February 22, 2018 In Partnership with: The Yezreel Valley College, hosting the 2018 Conference Goal: To coalesce a discussion on social policies concerning the responsibility of a welfare state for maltreated children. Target Population: Open to the general public.

One-Day Seminar for Music Teachers from “Sulamot” Musical Scales Project (NGO): “Let’s Talk About It – Sexual Abuse of Children” March 22, 2018 In Partnership with: “Sulamot” – Music for Social Change Goal: The teacher meets – either individually or with the orchestra – with children that, as children-at-risk, most likely have suffered abuse. Some have been removed to out-of-home placement, some are children with special needs. The meeting between the teacher and the student is important, and enables the teacher to be a significant adult for the child, in addition to the musical aspects of the meeting. The teacher’s ability to identify abuse, if it indeed occurred, is a priceless opportunity for the student. Target Population: Music teachers of at-risk children or children with special needs.
