The fate of family Holocaust survivors in Israel and abroad  My sister Cila came to Beer Yaakov with us and after a short time moved to Kibbutz Sha'ar Ha'amakim, and from there to Kibbutz Maabarot. In 1950, she married a Yugoslav Holocaust survivor named Gabor Erenfeld and together they lived in Moshav Kidron, but a few months later Gabor died surprisingly. I don't know much about the circumstances of his passing, only a previous evening he sat with friends by midnight and woke up in the middle of the night with horrible abdominal pain. Cila called a doctor who refused to come, and when he finally came in the morning, it was too late. As a widow, Cila moved to Tel Aviv and attended a nursing home for baby care and graduated, working as a nurse at the maternity home in Rehovot. In 1955, she married Isaac Goldstein, a Germany origin, who immigrated to Israel as a fourteen-year-old in 1938, while his parents fled to Shanghai and joined him later. Cila and Isaac moved to Haifa and had three sons. She passed away in 1993 at the age of 63. After her death, her husband, Isaac, issued a booklet to her memory.  Bato Kalderon , my cousin, was perceived in the rise of the youth at Kibbutz Sha'ar HaAmakim and renamed to Menachem Doron. He served in the Navy and is currently married to Batya, they have three children and ten grandchildren. Lives in Rishon-Lezion.

 Dina , my cousin, was perceived in the rise of the youth at Kibbutz Maabarot. She married Johannan Jaulus and together they moved to Ramat Hasharon. Dina raised two children and six grandchildren. She passed away in 2011.

 My aunt Flora Altarac survived Bergen-Belsen and returned to Yugoslavia. She died in split in the late 1980s.

 My cousin Salomon Altarac got married and lived for a while in Samobor, near Zagreb. He had two daughters. When his wife passed away he moved to Sarajevo and remarried. In 1992, following the Yugoslav war, they immigrated to Israel and lived in Hedera.

In 1963 he returned to Yugoslavia for economic reasons. His son Albert Ashkenazi returned to Israel in the 1980s, worked in Bezeq and died in 2017.
