The Israeli Society of Psycho-oncology As part of the ICA’s support of the Israeli Society of Psycho-oncology’s activity, seminars and workshops are held for professionals at Beit Mati, the ICA headquarters in Givatayim. Each year, the ICA grants awards for outstanding research and outstanding project, and helps produce a journal sent to all members. In June 2022, a seminar was held on the topic ‘the backyard of oncology in Israel – unique populations coping with cancer.’ In December 2022, a workshop day was held on ‘Innovative interventions in cancer patients and their families.’ The workshops discussed therapeutic work with child cancer patients; introduction to ACT – a therapeutic approach of ‘acceptance and commitment’; self-compassion as a tool for fostering well-being and as a condition for transformation.

Europa Donna Conference The annual conference on meta static breast cancer held by the European Breast Cancer Coalition – Europa Donna was held in September 2022 in Milano, Italy. ‘Reach to Recovery®’ volunteer, Orly Zahor Barza , represented the ICA. Economist Impact Conference

The 8th Economist annual conference was held this year in Brussels, Belgium. The organization operates under the Economist Impact group working to create changes in sustainability, globalization and public health, focusing this year on strategies to accelerate innovation in detection, treatment and prevention of cancer diseases, reducing inequality in the fight against cancer across Europe and expanding the term ‘well-being’ by identifying effective approaches to improving public health. Revital Parker , content and information manager, represented the ICA.
