Isaac Herzog , Israel’ President, spoke at the ceremony: “We all know cancer patients and survivors in our close circles, and painfully, carry in our hearts faces and names of dear ones who did not survive this terrible disease. Bu there many who recover or live well alongside the disease. Groundbreaking researches, sensitive and supportive legislation, outstanding

information dissemination to raise awareness and promote life-saving, early detection of the disease, and a complete network of training, support, guidance, and holistic treatments for patients, survivors and their families – are only some of the extensive and commendable work the Israel Cancer Association vigorously promotes.”

An excerpt from ICA General Director Moshe Bar Haim’s speech:

70 branches across the country and lend a helping hand, acknowledging the significance of the campaign and the contributions collected to save many lives and improve patients’ quality of life. The general public’s lending hand throughout the year, as well as the ‘door knock’® fundraising campaign, enable the ICA to operate in a variety of areas: funding and promoting cancer research, initiating and helping implement prevention and early detection national programs, assisting in construction and renovation in medical centers throughout the country, purchasing innovative medical equipment for detection, treatment, follow up, assistance, rehabilitation and support of patients, survivors and their families and advocating for their rights, health promotion and extensive information for the general public on reducing the risk of cancer by adopting a healthy lifestyle and more.”
