Michigan’sOfficeof FutureMobilityandElectrification(OFME) iscontinuing the state’s leadership in this space by fully leveraging the state’s public, private and non-profit sectors to support the startup and scale up of emerging technologies and businesses. This effort builds on nearly five years of concentrated investment in mobility and electrification – and Michigan is just getting started. As the birthplace of the automobile, Michigan has built a reputable model of leveraging public-private partnerships across city and state government, technology companies, automakers andacademia todrive innovation, increase investment, regulate policy and deliver the smart infrastructure that’s needed to move the world forward. OFME–acollaborationacross four stateagencies–works as acoordinator and integrator across these sectors to create a stronger state economy in Michigan, and to enable safer, more equitable and environmentally conscious transportation for allMichigan residentsby acceleratingelectric vehicleadoption inMichigan, expandingMichigan’s smart infrastructure, bolstering the state’s mobility manufacturing core, and more. Further, theOFMEprovidesmany services to companies, someofwhich include: Grant funding | Connection opportunities | Policy support | Industry intelligence The state’s Council on Future Mobility and Electrification (CFME) complements theseefforts through fourwork groups focusedon key initiatives including: Electrification |Automated vehicle technologies and smart infrastructure | Insurance, regulatory systems andpublic safety | Economic andworkforcedevelopmentIn addition toOFME andCFME, Michigan continues leading the way in future mobility solutions with progress from both private and public sector partners. As part of this ecosystem, Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA) is charged with advancingMichigan’s innovation environment through partnershipswith Israelimobility and technologybusinesses.MIBAoffers a range of services, including: Import and export services | Customized market research | Trade delegations to and from Israel | Consulting services and ecosystem navigation support.
