• Dr. Ohad Feldstein , Meir Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship on peer training in ESGO Certification of European Gynecological Oncologist, Royal Marsden Hospital, held in London, 11.22 – 11.24. • Dr. Omri Lev Or , Wolfson Medical Center, received a one-year fellowship on pancreatic surgery/surgical oncology, held in London, 10.23 – 10.24. • Dr. Oshrat Zilberstein , Soroka Medical Center, received a one-year fellowship on pediatric palliative care, held in Toronto, Canada, 1.7.23 – 30.6.24. • Tarek Taha , Rambam Medical Center, received a one-year fellowship in drug development and prostate cancer research, held in London, 1.7.23 – 30.6.24. • Dr. Said Salman , Rambam Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship on head and neck malignancies, held in Montreal, Canada, 1.7.23 – 30.6.25. • Dr. Akram Saad , Sheba Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship on head and neck malignancies, held in Montreal, Canada, 1.7.23 – 30.6.25. Short-Term Training Abroad • Dr. Anna Ostrovsky , Radiotherapy Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, for attending the EATRO conference, and presenting the research results aimed at improving radiation for young women with breast cancer. Held in May 2023 in Vienna, Austria. • Dr. Michael Frumer , urological surgery, Rabin Medical Center, for attending a conference on Prostate Specific Antigen response to neoadjuvant Lutetium-177-PSMA treatment in high-risk localized prostate cancer patients. Held in March 2023 in Milan, Italy.
The Israel Cancer Association participated in funding travel fellowships to physicians, researchers and healthcare professionals in the field of oncology who chose to present their work in international conferences. Long-Term Training Abroad (Canada & Europe) • Dr. Inbar Nerdi Agmon , Rabin Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship in Cardio-oncology, held in Toronto, Canada, 7.23 – 8.25. • Dr. Barak Pertzov , Rabin Medical Center, received a two-year fellowship in interventional pulmonary medicine and interstitial pulmonary diseases, held in Ontario, Canada, 5.9.23 – 4.9.25. • Dr. Chen Abitbul , Rabin Medical Center, received a one-year fellowship in Onconephrology, held in Toronto, Canada, 1.7.23 – 30.6.24. • Dr. Itamar Gork , Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, received a one-year fellowship in Abdominal imaging is the organ/system-based subspecialty of Diagnostic Radiology dedicated to diagnosis of diseases in the abdominal and pelvic region utilizing multimodality cross-sectional imaging. The fellowship is clinical and research-based.
