Israel Cancer Association // Annual Report 2024

Digital Assets – Social Networks ICA Facebook page: “Israel Cancer Association – for a Healthy Life” The ICA Facebook page boasts extensive activity, with about 74,000 followers. The page serves as a platform to convey ICA's messages on cancer prevention and healthy lifestyle, promote ICA events, provide information and answer visitors’ questions. The ICA also has Facebook pages for its various branches, which are run by the branch volunteers in collaboration with the digital department. Those branches include Netanya, Holon, Nof Hagalil, Ness Tsiona and Kiryat Tivon. This year, the focus was on incorporating videos (produced by the digital department) and sharing personal stories, which garnered many views and feedback.

Opening Facebook Communities: During the last year, we launched different Facebook communities to advise, support and offer a platform for patients and their families to share what they are going through. The communities include: Chemobrain (coping with cognitive deficiencies resulting from chemotherapy), a community for cancer patient's partners and a community titled 'Coping together – stomach cancer'.
