'Running Together to Beat Cancer' In March 2024, the 'Winner' Jerusalem International Marathon was held, in which the ICA has been actively participating for 13 years. ICA's running group included runners of various ages participating in all race categories. Among the participants were cancer patients and survivors along with their family members, representatives of companies and organizations, and runners from the general public, all of whom chose to run as part of the ICA team to raise awareness of fighting cancer and fundraise to support the ICA's wide range of activities. ICA representatives launched the 5km race category.
The Collaborations and Fundraising Department initiates partnerships and resource recruitment throughout the year by organizing exciting fundraising activities and events, in addition to partnering with companies and organizations. Due to the war that broke in October, some of the events were canceled or postponed. The Director of the Collaborations and Fundraising Dept. is Ms.Noam Voosen . ICA Purim Baskets Fundraising Sale As per tradition, this year too, the sale of Purim food baskets (mishlochei manot) was held in collaboration with ICA's branches and volunteers. The baskets were offered for sale as a donation to support ICA's extensive activities, and were purchased by various companies, as well as by schools and kindergartens via a dedicated website. Volunteer groups from leading companies and rehabilitation employment centers helped with the packaging.
ICA Newsletter to Donors The ICA sends out a special bi-annual newsletter to donors on Rosh Hashana and Passover. The newsletter contains a personal greeting from the ICA Chairman, Prof. Moshe Mittelman , and details ICA's activity for patients and survivors. A reminder booklet was sent with the Passover newsletter, presenting the '12 Rules for a Healthy Lifestyle' from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) of the World Health Organization. For Rosh Hashanah, a calendar was attached to the newsletter with the theme "No Dream Is Too Far to Reach" featuring images from the Rakia mission in which Israeli astronaut Eytan Stibbe participated.
