Israel Cancer Association // Annual Report 2024

IT Support

Every year, the Israel Cancer Association invests considerable resources on improving access to the information and services it provides – for patients, survivors, and their families. The ICA IT Support Department Director, David Moss-Rendell , was succeeded by Yonatan Lvovich towards the end of the year. Each year, the ICA is required to comply with information security standards ISO 27799 and ISO 27001 (Health Service Provider standard). Since 2014, the ICA has passed the Standards Institute audit successfully. During the past year, upgrades and replacements of servers and equipment were performed. This, in addition to the ongoing upgrade of software versions on servers and communication equipment. The ICA

has also transitioned to a cloud backup system to ensure work continuity should physical damage be sustained by the organization's systems. Adjustments were also made to comply with previously mentioned standards, and to meet the needs of digital communication with patients, survivors, and the general public. The ICA continuously invests in updating software and the operating systems of serves and endpoints. The systems are monitored by a number of information security platforms and companies to avoid hacking and leakage of confidential information by unauthorized entities. This year, a system upgrade was conducted in order to ensure comprehensive, overall information security on an organization level.
