The Coalition of LGBTQ Organizations in Israel Organizations working together to advance public policy ensuring equal rights and a comprehensive response to the needs of the LGBTQ community.
The Aguda - representing the LGBTQ community in Israel since 1975, and promoting its social and legal status, striving for full equality. The Aguda provides LGBTQ community services and assistance and acts as a platform that integrates different organizations and groups that promote the LGBTQ community in Israel. IGY - The LGBTQ Israeli youth organization operates in hundreds of groups, centers, and clubs in dozens of municipalities and local authorities, from Kiryat Shmona to Eilat. The organization has about 400 volunteers and more than 4,000 members between the ages of 18-23 participating in ongoing activities throughout the year. The Gila Project - serves as a home for dreams, mutual assistance, change in policy and accessibility, resources, and opportunities for the Trans community. The project offers training for professional staff, accompanying trans individuals, legal aid, and is involved in policy change, emphasizing the needs of the Trans community in the social economical-geographical-national periphery. Tehila - A non-profit organization that provides social and emotional support by parents for parents and family members of LGBTQ individuals. The organization holds support groups for families across the country, special groups for the religious community, groups of parents of transgender children, and meetings with young individuals that are part of IGY. In addition, Tehila also advocates through meetings of personal testimonies across the country. Hoshen - The educational and advocacy organization for the Israeli LGBTQ community. The goal of the organization is to promote tolerance of topics related to sexual orientation and gender identity, eradicate LGBTQ phobia in Israeli society, and train professionals to work with the LGBTQ community. Hoshen operates with diverse groups of students, teachers, kindergarten teachers, universities, medical staff, security forces, and businesses. The LGBTQ Pride House of Be’er Sheva and The South - A home for the LGBTQ community in Be’er Sheva and the South and an umbrella organization for other LGBTQ organizations in the South. It holds social, cultural, and community activities. The house operates actively in the fight for LGBTQ equality and represents the community in the South. Shoval - Shoval (“That everything was created in His honor”) is a dialogue and advocacy organization for accepting LGBTQ individuals in the religious community. LGBTech - The organization promotes diversity and inclusion of the LGBTQ community in the Israeli workforce. We aim to ensure employers in all sectors of Israel have sufficient professional knowledge of the unique employment needs of LGBTQ individuals and the tools to meet these needs. The Society for LGBTQ Health - One of the professional societies of the Israeli Medical Association. The society started in 2017, intending to expand the necessary knowledge base and proficiency to ensure high-quality medical treatment for the LGBTQ community. Distribution of medical information, advocacy and fighting LGBTQ-phobia among medical staff, promoting health among the LGBTQ community, encouraging research, and influencing decision-making and policy related to LGBTQ health.
